Admissions Criteria

Jesuit is open to qualified young men of all faiths and denominations, without regard to race or national origin. Candidates must have successfully completed the grade previous to that for which they are applying. To ensure that students will benefit from a college preparatory curriculum, students are admitted on the basis of strong past school performance, positive teacher and personal recommendations, solid results from the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), demonstrated promise of future development, and a personal interview.

The Admissions Committee typically admits students with a solid A/B average in their academic courses who score in the 60th percentile or above in each of the four areas of the ISEE (Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning, Mathematic Achievement). In addition, candidates should have positive recommendations that show diligence, responsibility, curiosity, attendance, and respect in and out of the classroom.

Consideration is given to members of the Catholic Church, sons and brothers of Jesuit Dallas alumni, brothers of current Jesuit Dallas students, and students of ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic diversity.
