Admissions Process for transfer students
Applicants for 10th or 11th grade:
Admission into 10th or 11th grade is very limited, and is dependent upon the number of spaces that are available. Transfer admissions are considered after reenrollment of current students is complete, usually beginning in early May. Applications completed by April 30, 2010, will be reviewed first. Those received after April 30 will be reviewed on a rolling basis if spaces become available. Jesuit Dallas does not accept midterm or midyear transfer students.
Application:
Candidates must submit the Application for Admissions form, Student and Parent Responses, and $75.00 application fee.
Entrance Examination:
Transfer students may submit scores from either an Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) that has been taken within six months of the application or a PSAT.
Transcript and Recommendations:
A transfer student must submit transcripts from the previous school year and from the first semester of the current year. In addition, he must submit academic recommendations from his current math and English teachers, as well as a personal reference from a person of his choice. Transcript requests and recommendation forms will be mailed to the applicant after receipt of the completed application form.
Interview:
Transfer students will be contacted if an interview is required.
Applicants for 12th grade:
Only students transferring from another Jesuit high school are considered for admission to the 12th grade. Please contact the Admissions Office for more information.
