ART LEAGUE
Jesuit Dallas has the distinction of being
one of just a few high schools in the nation with a museum on its
campus. Nearly 500 pieces of world-class art from 5 continents,
spanning 2000 years, grace our hallways, courtyards, classrooms and
offices. The Jesuit Art League is the social, volunteer organization
that supports this unique treasure.
Art League provides service to our school and community; presents
unique and interesting arts-related events to our members; and
raises funds to care for and expand our collection.
ArtQuest, is an extravaganza of professional art, exceptional
cuisine, fast-action casino gaming and lively dancing held in
October of every year It is our main fundraising event for the year.
Members participate in daytime and evening events to explore
the arts in culturally rich Dallas/Ft. Worth. We attend exhibits
together, visit artists’ studios and try out hand at various
artistic techniques.
Docents work with our teachers to use the museum collection
to help illustrate classroom curricula. We also give public and
private tours to over 1000 guests, annually.
Treasure Keepers keep the collection looking great and are
first to see new acquisitions. We create dynamic galleries as our
collection and space changes.
Needleworkers and Crafters meet one day each week to
socialize and create objects d’art.
Many volunteers work on committees to promote the museum,
create community and deliver superb hospitality.
