One Acts, Endless Laughs
Comedy.  Whoever controls this, controls the world.  Harnessing the power to make people laugh as well as reduce them to tears, the act of crafting true comedic art is only possessed by a select few. Appropriately, the outstanding writing, acting and directing in the 2016 One Acts exhibited some of this beautiful comedic art from the …

Peru Meets America
Ten Peruvians walk out of the gate at DFW after an 8-hour flight from Lima, Peru. Excited about the 5-week long journey in America they were about to embark on, each of them was greeted by Mrs. Maggard and then boarded a bus to Jesuit where they met, or in my case, reunited with their …

Stephen Curry Pioneering A New Era Of Basketball
After effortlessly faking a drive, dropping Kawhi Leonard, and pump-faking a three, Stephen Curry steps back and knocks down a contested jumper. This play would have made highlight tapes even if a lesser defender had been guarding Curry, but it was the leading candidate of Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard? The Lebron James stopper Kawhi Leonard? The “NBA’s Best …

At This Exhibit, You Move Art
Stepping into the MADI museum downtown, the surroundings appear more like a magic show than an art gallery. Loud, bold artwork explodes from every hidden crevice (even the restrooms). Young kids and adults alike play with shapes and create unique art on tablets adjacent to fifty-year-old art. Critics pace back and forth before each frame, …

A New Chapter in Courtyard History
Ah, the senior courtyard. We’ve all seen it, but only a fourth of us have been in it. As a freshman, you look in at it with awe as the thought of seeing yourself inside seems light years away. When you’re a sophomore, you look slightly down upon the ogling freshman and chuckle as you …
